Pros

Great benefits, great experience. You definitely learn a lot, but must get used to the repetitiveness and somewhat dull nature of every shift.

Cons

As a government job goes, it’s fairly easy work. Just gotta put up with the “customer,” and their views and distaste for you. Some management members, especially upper, should listen more to frontline officers. Too much time spent wanting to satisfy public relations has made them unawares as to what the job actually is and entails. Additionally, if you want to move up, it’s difficult.

Pros

Benefits are great due to it being a federal position.

Cons

Pay does not match the responsibilities that are given to techs as higher level tasks are given at low pay.
