Pros

I have been a part of the U.S. Engineering family for more than 10 years now and I have not seen any other company as dedicated to being the best as ours. Continual growth of our company and its employees along with a focus on our customers' needs is paramount.

Cons

Like any family, there are times when communication falls short and can lead to frustrations and issues that have to be sorted out.

Dear team member - Thank you for your review, and more importantly, for your 10-plus years of dedicated USE service! We do take pride in developing close-knit teams that create our family-like culture. I appreciate your feedback about the need for more effective communication. We happen to agree with you that communication can, at times, get stalled before information reaches the entire organization. That is why we recently implemented a manager "round table" program, designed to improve the communication between regions and business units and align organizational initiatives. Obviously this is just one way to improve our communication and we will continue to stay focused on a variety of ways to ensure that our team members are in the know! Thanks again.

Pros

U.S. Engineering challenges their employees to always think outside the box and find the best solution to the current task. The management always promotes integrity and quality. They recognize the employees who demonstrate effectiveness by promoting them to positions where they can make the best impact on the company.

Cons

The cons are rather minor. Previously having an office in Loveland, CO and moving to Westminster has forced many employees to commute to Metro Denver which has created stress.

Dear team member - thanks so much for your review. Your comments about the "pros" of quality and integrity speak directly to the significance of every individual in the organization representing our core values - at USE those values are much more than a poster on the wall. I like your advice to remember to leverage the strengths of our team members in positions where they shine brightest - in these times of growth that is a great opportunity to do that!

Great company overall, and the future looks strong

Pros

The company is growing, and the outlook is promising.... In the relationships that I have with people, I feel like they genuinely care about my well-being and strive to allow a good work/life balance. Work enjoyment is often directly related to your supervisor; while I can't speak for others, I really like my supervisor. I also don't know how many companies have a 529 match, but it's a pretty awesome benefit.

Cons

No company is perfect. There are some natural silos in the structure, which can have some benefits, but it also makes communication and broad team-building more difficult. The growth that is happening right now means there are new opportunities, but it also can put some strain on an organization as it scales up.

Dear team member - thank you for your review. I am happy that you feel so optimistic about the company's future, as do I. We certainly are in a period of growth, and need to stay laser-focused on communication throughout the organization to avoid the growing pains that can naturally occur. Also, I could not agree with you more about the positive influence that a caring manager can have on overall career satisfaction - for that reason, we are actively working on enhancing our leadership development programs. Regards -
