My job profile was changed multiple times before and after I had agreed to it. The "traditional" xenophobic/Anglo-centric/patriarchal culture is what you will find here (that's Lubbock for you). No, it is not apparent, because customer service and professionalism come first, thankfully. It is in the off-handed comments that you will hear more than a few sexist, racist, and otherwise inappropriate comments. You can go several days in a row without being checked on by direct supervisors, and the upper management is practically absent. Sick days just don't happen - you have to use your very meager PTO to take a sick day, and even if it is legitimate, your coworkers will not pick up your slack whatsoever. Overall, a soul-sucking, death-riddled cesspool of work-until-you-bleed-and-be-happy-about-it healthcare cronies.
Be ready to hear them say, as a rebuttal, "oh, we're nothing like that." Take my word for it: unless you're a white, submissive, straight Christian woman with 2.2 kids or a white, Christian, straight, sports-loving, Republican, emotionless drone of a man with 2.2 kids, you're gonna have a bad time.
