Pros

Most of UMC's employees are outstanding people with a strong desire to be a part of something greater than themselves.

Cons

UMC likes to "grow their own" from youth; they do not like to pay for experience. Intradepartmental communication is excellent, but departments do not communicate well with each other. Pay scale and tuition reimbursement is substantially less than other facilities throughout the state.

Very competitive pay with great benefits package. Everyone is a family and management makes you feel as though you are part of the team.

Cons

There are many departments and they don't always have the greatest communication.

Cons

decent pay, older hospital, less change takes place especially in this economy, poorer patients at the hospital over work some times
