Pros

A few great Instructors who put in the effort to make their students successful

Cons

- Instructors are paid $20-25 per hour while USAA charges $110+ per hour for the IP’s time - $500 per month “technology access and rate guarantee” fee on top all other fees - simulators are in poor condition, hard to book, and can only be reserved for an hour at a time - ownership that will make a bigger deal out of uniform adherence than the safety of their personnel. - ZERO appreciation from ownership for employees who go above and beyond - no job security (watch out for the boys club) - no benefits - poor aircraft availability - paid off Hobbs time, not time scheduled

- Self examining authority - Organized curriculum - Airline partnerships

Cons

- Questionable management - Increased student fees for inflation but not flight instructor pay - No one truly advocates for students - Any other base is better - Cares more about expanding their operations over quality of flight instruction - Students feel pressure to do their checks in weather conditions above their personal minimums due to poor management of the schedule. Students have recently gone weeks without being scheduled for stage checks. Student feels forced to do the check in challenging weather and low proficiency, unsats, then the cycle continues and US Aviation makes more money.
