Pros

Wonderful membership, good co-workers, products, are reasonably ok

Cons

The pressure to cross sell products has increased so high over the last 3 years. They want you to do more with less people. More tenured people are out on stress leave than every before, this includes managers and directors.

Pros

EXCELLENT benefits. Can't beat them anywhere else unless you are in the military. Benefits are what keep me! Great members. You won't be able to work and serve anyone more thankful and respectful. USAA members are a special group of people. Awesome, awesome bonus every year.

Cons

Stress of constant sales requirements and phone adherence and effectiveness and metrics continuously increasing year after year. No time to breathe. Strapped to desk 40 hours a week. 35 minute lunches barely give you time to swallow your food before running back to the phone so you don't get in trouble if you're a couple minutes late. You sometimes feel like you're treated like you're a student in grade school instead of an educated adult. Some really horrible managers then some really excellent managers (guess it's like that in all companies). Extremely competitive and difficult to get off the phones if you are hired onto them. Like most Corporate America postitions it isn't what you know it's who you know.
