good culture, noble mission, and good benefit package

Cons

no communication from senior management, poor suite of products, incentive/performance metrics arbitrary and manipulated by overzealous employees, and questionable compliance oversight.

Pros

Usaa offers good benefits and competitive pay. There are two bonuses annually and also match your 401k up to 8%. What Usaa stands for is meaningful and makes me proud to work there. Usaa will pay up to $2500 for school each semester and are flexible with your schedule.

Cons

The biggest downside of my job is the sales aspect. Usaa wants to stay relevant and they require on every phone call for you to refer a Usaa product. It isn't terrible, it just sucks. Referrals is all your manager cares about.

Pros

Generally a good benefit package. Certainly better than most. Certainly a lot of different departments if you would like to move around and/or educate yourself in the way of a different career area.

Cons

Downright dishonesty. Not fudging the truth, not bending. If it serves some "greater" purpose, mgmt will flat out lie in the face of things difficult to prove otherwise. At times, even when it is easier to just be honest and do the right thing, politics and factors no related to job performance will be guiding factors when deciding courses of business.
