Pros

I was Honored to serve our military members and their families. I loved helping those who served our country every day.

Cons

Six years ago USAA had it right. Taking care of the members and offering sensible solutions. It has now dissolved into a numbers game where employees are so scared to lose their jobs they will offer ridiculous products to poor members who can't even afford to pay their insurance bill. So many employees are out on fmla due to stress and so many more have left that I fear service to our members will become terrible very soon. I thank GOD I left months ago because of the stress levels there. I found a job with much better pay and am treated like a human being again not a money making monkey. For Gods sakes stay away from USAA!!!!

Pros

The benefits with USAA are incredible, and I love the bonuses.

Cons

Taking unexpected time off it completely frowned upon. My daughter, who attends the USAA daycare, isn't sick often, but she occasionally gets sick just like normal kids. When I have called in to report an absence due to her having fever, when she's not even allowed at their daycare, I can always expect a meeting with my manager. They promote "work/life balance" however, they don't adhere to their own philosophy.

Pros

USAA as a whole is based on great values and ideals. I love the fact that there are no stockholders, and therefore the company is truly working for the members and what is best for them.

Cons

As with any large company, USAA at times has corporate beaurocracy and bad management decisions. These decisions can come in the form of process changes that are basically 'even though you disagree with this, you're going to do it because we said so.'
