Pros

Great atmosphere I really enjoyed the college campus type work place. The enter is huge and you feel as if you are the company not just a worker

Cons

Distance from where we lived, the traffic in San Antonio is very hit or miss and must bank with them

Pros

Stability, reputation, commitment to mission. I have only worked for one other company in my 25+ year career in banking that stayed true to its mission like USAA does. If mission, purpose and commitment to service are important to you, then this is the place to work.

Cons

As with any large-scale, matrixed organization, there are multitudes of people and processes to understand in order to know how to get things done. The ramp up time can be daunting but it's worth the effort in the long run. The rewards are great but the demand on time can be challenging to strike a good balance between work and personal life.
