Pros

There are none, the pay is decent, but not for the abuse you will endure. I have to put 20 words for the pros, but there are none.

Cons

This place is a joke. You are supposedly “changing peoples lives” what you are really doing is making them feel so bad about themselves that you convince them the only way to make their life better is to spend $28,000 for a degree that they could get for a lot less somewhere else. There is no sense of organization and they don’t care about their employees at all. I was verbally abused by people there and HR doesn’t care. It’s expected that you just take whatever happens there and keep your mouth shut if you want to keep your job. If you don’t manipulate enough people to go to school, you’ll be on a write up. If people that you talk to want to think about it or do more research before enrolling, we are to tell them pretty much anything to get them to enroll right then. You will then get talked to for not closing the call. This place claims to be “non-profit” guess that’s why they make so much on each student that enrolls and they constantly being in food for employees so they can write it off. They accreditation is also a joke. Barely any school will take their credits, but of course we can’t tell people that. So if they want to go on for a bachelors degree later on, they won’t be able to use many if any of the credits. This place is a joke. My only regret was staying as long as I did.

Dear Former Employee, Thank you for your contributions to our Admissions department, where more than 40,000 alumni began their journey with UMA. We were disappointed to read your review and to learn that you were dissatisfied with your experience working at UMA. We are an institution whose values include Acting with Integrity, and we operate as a respectful workplace. All employees, including our leaders, go through respectful workplace training within the first 15 days of hire and annually thereafter. We also have an employee complaint procedure through which we encourage employees to bring all work-related complaints to UMA’s attention. And we provide a variety of avenues for employees to do so. Many questions or concerns that employees may have can be resolved through discussion with their supervisor. If an employee is in doubt as to where to bring a concern, UMA offers all employees access to HR Cares to voice their problems, concerns, frustrations, or complaints via phone at 800-509-5474 or email at hrcares@ultimatemedical.edu. We are proud of our accreditation with the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools as well as our articulation agreements with several schools, including SNHU, Excelsior College, and Bellevue University, that accept UMA coursework credits where our students can continue their education to earn bachelor’s and higher degrees. The student speaker at our April 21 commencement is continuing her education at Excelsior. We hope you will reach out to HR Cares or me at social@ultimatemedical.edu to give us examples of your concerns. We are committed to continuous improvement and appreciate specific feedback. Best wishes for your future.

Hired to Fire!

Pros

They do have good benefits. They also offer fun break rooms and exercise classes to help with stress. Although, they are pointless to use when stress levels make you want to walk out at any given time.

Cons

Short term employment - hired to fire.
