Dear Former Employee, Thank you for your contributions to our Admissions department, where more than 40,000 alumni began their journey with UMA. We were disappointed to read your review and to learn that you were dissatisfied with your experience working at UMA. We are an institution whose values include Acting with Integrity, and we operate as a respectful workplace. All employees, including our leaders, go through respectful workplace training within the first 15 days of hire and annually thereafter. We also have an employee complaint procedure through which we encourage employees to bring all work-related complaints to UMA’s attention. And we provide a variety of avenues for employees to do so. Many questions or concerns that employees may have can be resolved through discussion with their supervisor. If an employee is in doubt as to where to bring a concern, UMA offers all employees access to HR Cares to voice their problems, concerns, frustrations, or complaints via phone at 800-509-5474 or email at hrcares@ultimatemedical.edu. We are proud of our accreditation with the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools as well as our articulation agreements with several schools, including SNHU, Excelsior College, and Bellevue University, that accept UMA coursework credits where our students can continue their education to earn bachelor’s and higher degrees. The student speaker at our April 21 commencement is continuing her education at Excelsior. Dear Former Employee, Thank you for your work as a Career Services Advisor in support of our value to Champion Student Outcomes. Our institutional culture is guided by our core values, which include to Act with Integrity, to Pursue Results with Purpose, and to Commit to Employee Success. We work hard to live up to these values every day. With that said, we were disappointed to read that you found your experience at UMA stressful. We understand that the role of a Career Services Advisor can sometimes be challenging. And we tell our Career Service Advisors that from the beginning when we set our expectations and work with them to help them succeed. We do provide training, invest in systems, and set targets to support our students during every step of their journey at UMA, including their job searches. Through our efforts to develop relationships with healthcare employers and to help arrange and prepare our graduates for interviews in their field of study, we help them launch or advance their careers in healthcare. We are an institution that is committed to continuous improvement and recognize that feedback from our students, employees, and former employees is critical for our ongoing development.
