Pros

Everyone that I had interacted working at UG were all agreeable, professional and helpful people. The culture is really healthy if you maintain reasonable expectations. The pay is also higher than other CS roles you'll find on the job market although I think we can agree the bar is despicably set low in the first place. At times it can be extremely busy and a little stressful but the workflow throughout the shifts were steady and customers on average are really polite.

Cons

Just the nature of their business model and market, but UG makes most of their profit during the holiday season where the rest of the year they either break even or operate on a loss. So this means if you are hired for a seasonal position there is noopportunity to grow within the company or a chance of stable work after. I also believe this is just a flaw with any CS role anywhere, but they want you to finish your tickets/solve issues as fast as possible which means less time to be personable with customers and added pressure which can lead to error.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your valuable feedback. We're grateful to hear that your experience as a seasonal team member on our Customer Service team was generally very positive. Your contributions during season are vital to the health of our business overall. We do understand that the very nature of these roles allows for little development or opportunities for year round roles however it does happen occasionally and we are consistently looking for ways to retain individuals where we can. We also hope that you were able to take advantage of our seasonal team resources like our resume review that could assist with more potential in securing permanent employment even if not with Uncommon Goods. Your feedback as it relates to ticket management is also crucial to looking for ways to improve not only our CSR experience but that of our customers. We wish you the very best and appreciate your time. Director, People Team Uncommon Goods

Thank you for taking the time to capture some feedback in regards to your employment with us. We are elated to hear that your colleagues and fellow team members are enjoyable to work with and you have the freedom you need to work at your highest level. Our leadership team also works hard to ensure team members know and understand the vision and business model as well as regular updates to the company's performance overall. We aim to compensate team member's fairly in regard to the role, our business model and competitive marketplace standards of pay but understand how as a smaller business we may still have some work to do in areas of compensation. Your feedback is valuable and appreciated! Best, Director, People Team
