Pros

The pay was reasonable, but not worth the headache.

Cons

The company doesn't take responsibility for anything especially Human Resources and Customer Service. They will blame everyone else.

Hello. Thank you for providing your feedback. We take our responsibility to our team very seriously and creating a positive team member experience and are sorry that your experience wasn’t positive. As this is our busy season and we are hiring hundreds of team members in many departments across the business, we have standard policies and procedures for onboarding, training and overall work processes. We will use this feedback, as we do with our all feedback received, to ensure that we are continuously improving. Again, our apologies for your experience.

Pros

Great learning experience, and decent enough pay for what it is.

Cons

Graded on performance weekly, by different people, so their wants seems to conflict. You can receive a high score for one thing and then receive lower points for the same thing by someone else. It's unnecessary.

Hi! Thank you for your feedback on your time working as part of our Customer Service Exceptions team. We are glad to hear of the positive experience you had and that the compensation was fairly met. We do have a system of monitoring performance in our Customer Service team as we hire Customer Service Coaches and look to train them on this process of assuring quality in our conversations with the customers. Due to a high volume of team members, it may be a different coach is assessing your performance week by week. However, we make sure to train our Coaches as to what standards we look for and what consistency we wish to have in the conversations with our customer. There may be a slight variation at some points but our set up allows for a unique system of reviewing and assessing these conversations. We do thank you again for your feedback though and contributions.

Pros

Can usually pick your hours, good pay, remote (during covid peaks), overtime and holiday pay

Cons

Seasonal (which is good and bad for some), not the most competent supervisors, no promotions, the in person building is a little unsanitary, have to sit at a different desk before and after lunch

Hello! Thanks for submitting your feedback. We are glad to hear about your positive experience with Uncommon Goods. We do understand that the seasonal work may not be best suited for everyone but we look to offer the opportunity for those interested to learn and gain experience from their time with us. While the mobility is limited from a seasonal team member standpoint, there are opportunities to get promoted within a season such as from a representative to a lead or to move on to a year round team member. This doesn't occur very often but we do look to provide these opportunities. We are sorry to hear you didn't have the best time with the supervisors and found the building unfit. Our CS team was fully remote this past season and our Facilities team has been working hard to improve and maintain a clean work environment. We were also not staying at one desk previously because of the amount of shift changes occurring and CS team members required on-site. This has changed due to COVID-19 and being able to work from home. If you have further feedback to elaborate on, please reach out to us at hr@uncommongoods.com and we thank you for your effort and work with us.
