I've worked at Unifirst for a little over a month. I came in through a temp service and was hired on. While there the ladies I worked with at the folding table were amazing. .

Cons

As I stated in the Pros I was hired on from a temp service. At first I thought the working conditions were the worst. Not so!. I had a supervisor who was, well how can I put it respectively, just heartless and mean. He lacks people skills and has a nasty demeaner and no respect. He is the ultimate reason I had to leave. Other than that I think Unifirst is a great company.

Fantastic Ownership - CEO has a tremendous vision for the Organization and displays exemplary Leadership...Family owned company driving "family based culture" throughout the Organization. UniFirst takes care of it's people. Fleet of benefits that continues to grow and improve, including longstanding 401K Profit Sharing "match" that many Organizations do not offer.

Cons

I have no negative feedback to leave. We face internal and external challenges each and every day just like all other businesses do. It is up to us as Leaders to "make the difference" both in our personal and professional lives. UniFirst has been nothing short of a superior Organization to work for during my 24 year career.

Cons

The culture in Sales at this company is to cram their products down their customers' throats. They say they want a consultative approach, but that is a hoax. Sell Sell Sell or get fired! Good job for a year but after that they will fire you.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear that you found your co-workers to be friendly and took advantage of our many benefits. We do encourage our Salespeople to take a consultative approach and if you buy-in to our proven process it does yield results. In any Sales Position there are quotas to be met and unfortunately if standards are not being upheld and improvements are not being made, it might not be the best fit for some. We agree that negative reinforcement is not the way to go, which is why we look for Managers that exhibit strong leadership and motivational skills.
