Pros

I am new employee with the UniFirst Corporation. I began about 4 months ago as a part of the sales team and coming from a history in sales, I can confidently say that UniFirst is a great company to work for. The Pittsburgh location is very team oriented - the management staff does a great job to find the right people for hire who get along with one another - so much so that we have all became friends and spend time together even outside of office hours. Salary, commission and benefits are all great.

Cons

A lot of information to learn and understand before really succeeding but I've seen the results pay off for my team members and will just need to work hard to get there!

First off, congratulations on your new career with UniFirst! We are happy to welcome you to the UniFirst Family! We are glad that the Pittsburgh Team is making you feel like you are a part of the team and that you are happy with all of our incentives and benefits! We know that there’s a lot of new information to learn at the start of any new career and we are excited to hear how you are embracing the process! In fact, we often joke that it’s a lot like drinking from a fire hose. You’re right that some of the technical “how to” topics need to be taught at the local level. If you believe that your Location needs to buff up on their in-office training we encourage you to be the voice for improvement! In our quest for continuous improvement, our Management Teams have an Open Door Policy, and should be receptive to hearing feedback and listening to new ideas. We have also put in place a suggestion program that rewards employees if their idea(s) are implemented at their Locations!

Pros

The group in Pittsburgh are among some of the best and is one of the closest groups in the company. The managers provide an environment that promotes growth and development. It is a great place to start your sales career and the location in Pittsburgh keeps an open mind about each individual and allows them to grow in their own way. Hard work allows to make good money.

Cons

Demanding job but with the support group that is in place it allows for sales reps to reach their full potential.
