Pros

Employees are hard workers The company likes to promote within.

Cons

Very long hours and low pay. You are expected to work up to 60 hours weekly and a few weekends a month, and with the salary they offer its not worth it. They do like to hire within the company but if its for management you will likely have to relocate to another location out of your current state. Also it gets extremely hot in the production plant during summer months

Thank you for your review and years of service. Promoting from within is a process we believe in. Many of our current Managers and Leaders have been promoted into their current roles from entry level positions. Sometimes longer hours are required to complete all tasks so that our customers can remain satisfied. Weekend shifts are a rare occurrence. We understand our plants can get quite warm in the summer, and that is why we offer cool beverages, fans, and shorts to our Team Partners who work in Production. The health and well-being of our Team Partners is paramount. We take heat and heat related injury very seriously at UniFirst. Because of this, our employees are trained each year on how to recognize the signs and symptoms of heat stress, so that it can be avoided. At UniFirst, we also offer an annual salary increase based on merit, annual profit sharing contribution, and 401k match, to name just a few of our benefits. We also provide bonuses for management personnel based on performance.

Pros

Hard work but they reward those who work hard. Great benefits, great pay and the people are second to none.

Cons

None that I can think of. If you're lucky enough to be at a great location you've got it made. They really care about their customers and the service they provide.

Pros

Base Salary, Benefits, Friendly Co-Workers

Cons

The culture in Sales at this company is to cram their products down their customers' throats. They say they want a consultative approach, but that is a hoax. Sell Sell Sell or get fired! Good job for a year but after that they will fire you.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear that you found your co-workers to be friendly and took advantage of our many benefits. We do encourage our Salespeople to take a consultative approach and if you buy-in to our proven process it does yield results. In any Sales Position there are quotas to be met and unfortunately if standards are not being upheld and improvements are not being made, it might not be the best fit for some. We agree that negative reinforcement is not the way to go, which is why we look for Managers that exhibit strong leadership and motivational skills. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
