Pros

Pay is ok, outside sales so you're not always in an office.

Cons

Micromanaged! Even the CEO looks at your reports. Everything you do is logged, tracked, and used against you. Sales training tells you one thing and MRD tells you another but your managers tell you how to run your day. They are constantly reporting to each other and make the reps fault for their actions. Location managers and sales managers are constantly watching your cold calls which are time stamped so they know what you're doing in the field. They don't instill any trust in you and expect you to pull the world for them while they harass and belittle you. Go work for ALSCO instead. Very dishonest management. They'll lie and tell you things that aren't true to control your actions. 100% lack in leadership. Completely micromanaged. Too much admin work to effectively sell. You need 10 appointments every week. Let's say you only get 8 for the next week, if you get two appointments that week to make 10 your management will not care nor will they give you credit. They will make you cancel appointments to go get more appointments. Literally makes no sense! You'll be on the phone all day as well. You're not really in outside sales you're a telemarketer. You're not salary you're paid hourly. Also all reviews that are overly positive on here were commanded by the CEO himself and we were all told in sales training to start leaving positive reviews. It's not a good company to work for. You will be underpaid, used, recycled. Don't be fooled...

UniFirst Response

Thank you for your feedback. All UniFirst Team Partners (even those at our Corporate Office) must follow the same guidelines that all Glassdoor users do: “Each individual should submit only one review, per employer, per year, per review type (e.g. company review, interview review, salary review, benefit review, etc.) Your content should be related to jobs you have held (or interviews you have had) within the last five years so it’s relevant to today’s job seeker.” And you are right, we do ask our Team Partners to share their experience at UniFirst on Glassdoor. This is one of the big ways we are able to listen to our employee’s feedback both good and bad, which is why we’d like to thank you for yours. We really hate to hear that any of our Team Partners feel like their experience in our organization is a negative one. Perhaps you can utilize our Open Door Policy and have an open conversation with your Regional Sales Manager or Location Management about your concerns.
