Pros

Co workers were nice, easy commute to office, no over nights in territory, decent tools for time management, every week payday

Cons

All smoke and mirrors, weird company dialogues regarding sales and quotas , tired out of date leads, scripted dialogues make you feel like some sleazy telemarketer

Pros

- Not having someone breathing down your neck or hovering over you all day. - Meet a lot of people. - You control the time it takes to get the route complete.

Cons

- Must touch dirty uniforms, mats, and towels. - The company is disorganized and lacks key technological tools to decrease paperwork at the end of the route. Are supposed to implement tablets but have not as of yet. - Pay for the work does not match so unfortunately, they are having a hard time hiring and keeping route sales reps. Currently, many route positions are vacant and there are not enough people to do the work.

Thank you for the review. One of the great aspects of being a Route Sales Representative (RSR) is the freedom, as you mentioned. It’s also great to meet new people and build relationships with your customers. As an RSR, you have the ability to directly affect your paycheck and earn bonuses based on the performance in managing your route. Consider making a plan with your Manager on what goals you’d like to achieve and how to get there!

Pros

I've worked at UniFirst for over 5 years at 2 different locations as a Sales Rep. I can honestly say UniFirst is the best in our industry, having worked for a competitor previously. It's easy to sell a product and service when you truly believe in it, and UniFirst goes the extra mile to ensure their service goes above and beyond the rest. If you have the drive and determination to succeed and be a top performer, UniFirst will compensate you very well. There are endless opportunities for growth within both sales and operations, and ample training and tools for you to be successful.

Cons

The uniform industry is very competitive, so you need to have the drive to learn everything you can about our products and the competition. As a sales rep, you are given enough rope to hang yourself with if you are not able to effectively manage your time on the phone and in the field.

Thank you for your review! We are so happy to hear that you’ve experienced firsthand the level of service we provide to our many customers and have recognized the tremendous opportunity for personal and professional growth that we provide. You are right that it is incredibly important for Salespeople to really dive in and learn as much as they can about our industry, their competition, and be a lifetime student of Sales.
