Pros

I have been here for 8 years as both a Sales Consultant and as a Sales Manager and I have never once dreaded having to get out of bed. UniFirst offers first class Sales Training and the potential for earnings is far above average. Not every company is perfect of course however it's a great place to learn and grow and get to the next level of your career. You are going to find good and bad about every company there is but it's what you decide to make of it. I think UniFirst is a great company and they are great to work with.

Cons

It's a big company and although they are very good at recognition, no Sales persons can ever get enough encouragement.

Pros

Great medical/dental/vision plan. RSP contributions great - you put in 5% UniFirst puts in 4% + 2% Defered Profit at the end of the year.

Cons

Management/Corporate more results ($$$$$$) driven then customer driven. Have no issues forcing price increases despite the risk of losing customers over lack of willingness to negotiate. Expected to give everything and more to the company at the expense of family or illness.

Pros

Great benefits package, profit sharing, 401k match of 4%, lots of opportunity to move up, personable CEO, decent pay, one of the top companies in the industry, culture that breeds creativity, great co-workers, great support from corporate departments, excellent training, competitive atmosphere.

Cons

-Hours can be long regardless of what department you work in. -Typical corporate management structure leads to miscommunication between corporate and local level employees. -Bad hires can bring down an entire team. -Management does a poor job of removing bad hires. -Not a glamorous company. -EVERYTHING DEPENDS ON YOUR LOCATION and LOCATION'S GM/BM!
