Pros

Freedom to plan your own day.

Cons

-Phone bock was the most useless "tool". Through off your entire day and really unproductive in setting appointments. -Sales executives have the worst plan I've ever seen, basically want you to make fake appointments so their numbers look good. -You are threatened by corporate on a weekly basis by not having enough CNA's which they know are fake. -Corporate says you are paid to uphold the database, which means you are expendable at any time -They monitor your activities so close any gaps need to be explained but you were actually presenting and closing a customer, they wanted activities. -Vidcons are the biggest waste of time -Every report contradicts one another, there are a million reports -They want you to do all your work on your own time, but tell you your not paid for you time but your database

Pros

Paid weekly, If you have no other job opportunities this is a good start to entering the sales industry

Cons

Too many Chiefs not enough Indians, only 6% market share in Houston going against Cintas, G&K, Aramark, Service is the Worse I have ever been around in Houston mkt, Office environment is energy draining, Corporate uses made up Excel spreadsheets by employees and then distributes throughout regions, Service is not held accountable for lost sales which is lost commission for Sales Rep., Avg sales rep only lasted months in the Houston office, constant turnover.Training is outdated and tedious, do not use SalesForce or another type of Sales Platform, reimbursements take too long to pay back, company does not give reps tools to be successful (waited 3 months for a stapler, had to get approval). The Houston Region has only captured 6% of the market share for the last 10 years how is the GM still working at UniFirst? Ron Croatti potrays himself as a strong Catholic but makes all Sales regions work Good Friday.....time to step down Mr. Croatti!!!! Last but not least, I am still waiting for commissions that were promised to me by the Branch Manager after 12 weeks of leaving the company, this is ridiculous and very unprofessional!!

Pros

Freedom to set your schedule. You learn the basics of territory management. Can be a fun job. You meet cool people frequently because they come and go. First manager was great, motivated us in every way, at least until he decided to leave us for the other team.

Cons

Dynamics was a huge mistake, no one likes it. The new tablet is trash as well. Upper management puts so much stress on the zero week that the sales reps lose focus of getting the larger accounts and then management complains about them only selling small deals. My second manager was terrible. Didn't have the tools to motivate us or make us want to be there. I went from loving going into the office to dreading it. They prefer you don't take anymore than one week vacation at a time otherwise they'll find a reason not to pay you. If you have to convince your reps to drink the Kool Aid, it's probably not that great of a place.

Thank you for your feedback. It’s always disappointing when a Team Partner feels their experience with UniFirst was less than positive. With any major change (like a new CRM system) there will be growing pains, which we knew going in. However, the only way to grow is to evolve. Dynamics is a major part of our evolution and changing mindsets like “no zero weeks” to focus on revenue growth.
