      Times are changing but UniFirst isn't adapting

      Pros

      Everyone is approachable including Executive Management. Your coworkers will go out of their way to teach you something new

      Cons

      Culture at UniFirst is stuck in the late 80's/early 90's. Working and getting your "job" done is more about how many hours you are in the building rather than being results oriented. You're expected to work work work every second of your day.

      If it's between living under the bridge or working at Unifirst, then work at Unifirst. Otherwise don't.

      They pay in US dollars.

      Cons

      100% annual turnover in the sales department at the location where I worked. I suspect this is company wide. Also, if you like to spend 90% of your work week cold calling mom and pop autoshops and telemarketing, then Unifirst is the place for you.

      Horrible work environment, Beyond micro managed, must enter call and note after every appointment and cold call, if internet goes down or an hour goes by with no entry they will call and ask what you have been doing, Phone block days, manager sits behind and listens to calls, buts in and bashes when he is not hearing the other side of the conversation,, to much negativity, nothing is ever good enough,,, saw out number one sales rep for 20 out of 24 months get sent home a day without pay because his number were on the decline for 3 weeks,,, wow, that's when I realized this was not for me, turned n my resignation..,, Life is to short to hate your job,,,
