Difficulty Living up to it's Reputation

Pros

The overall culture at USHG was a positive, however after HI (hospitality included) was implanted much of the culture was undermined and the upper levels of management seemed to withdraw from being as honest and transparent as they had been previously.

Cons

Everything had to be ok'd by corporate which in the grand scheme of things took way too long.

They invest in individual employees through mentorship programs between management and tenured co-workers. They also organize lots of industry standardized training sessions at their individual restaurants as well as at their home office.

Cons

like any other restaurant, the hours are quite demanding
