Corporate chaos and confusion

Pros

Working from home is nice, although sometimes I miss the camaraderie of an office enviroment. Very large teams, which is both a positive and a negative... the more bodies you have, the more opportunity there is to collaborate with a large pool of diverse skill sets.

Cons

The lack of structure between teams, and often within teams, leads to mass confusion and chaos. Makes it very hard to effectively manage time and prioritize projects when everything in your pipeline is fragmented. It leads to a lot of sitting around.

Pros

As a Field Engineer that don't go to office/same location everyday, it's hard for your direct manager to micro manage. That's a benefit.

Cons

Only with this company for 3 years. Don't really like it. Feels like middle management have no clue how to retain customers. Over promised under delivered. Feels like they don't value their employees (especially those at the bottom of the pole) much at all

Pros

Guarantee 40 hrs Benefits are ok

Cons

- management is poor - Unisys messed up my pay 2 times (fault of their own) - lack of advancement - literally have to argue about taking time off after it was approved - my manager told me to consult with him before we book a trip - all about numbers - expect you to remember ticket numbers from days ago - pay is way under market - no sympathy during covid - communication sucks unless you made a mistake then everyone wants to know why. We aren’t robots we are humans - constant pestering when on a call longer than 5 mins - L2s and manager have little to no knowledge about account - training is non existent. I asked for training multiple times but nothing was done. Then management harps down on you for mistakes that could’ve been prevented if proper training was done
