Pros

Rock solid financially and employee friendly. Great pay and decent benefits. You can get rich there in no time.

Cons

That said, United is an iceberg to its customers and the general public. They are shamelessly elitist. There are a whole lot of multi-millionaires running around those buildings that no one can figure out what they do.

Pros

It’s fully remote so you don’t have to go anywhere.

Cons

The only way to get assistance is through chat but no one ever replies. They made the Non bilingual reps take Spanish calls and call the interpreter service on every call instead of having the PAID bilingual reps take them. I was told that I was eligible for a bonus and then the day the bonus was paid out I didn’t get it. A full week later they say I wasn’t eligible. Why would you say that I was if I wasn’t?! They were unwilling to change my schedule to accommodate me so that I could pick up my kids. Instead of changing it by thirty minutes they told me to talk to the therapist with EAP so that I could work on my work life balance. I gave notice the same day. Completely unorganized nobody knows what’s going on.

Pros

401k & matching after 1 yr Offered benefits (but you’d think they would be GREAT since you work for UHC but they aren’t that good) Employee discount website Work from home Opportunity to grow within

Cons

Pay should be A LOT better. I shouldn’t be making less than a manager at McDonald’s especially with a lot of experience in the field. Especially with a big company like UHC, you’d think they would take care of employees by paying them great but they don’t. That’s why you lose employees and have employees who don’t care about you because the pay is terrible. Any time there is something new or something that changed that we should be doing it isn’t communicated so we’re always told we are doing something wrong when really we weren’t told about the change. Training was very rushed, so since being on the phones none of the reps are fully trained because it was rushed and no one is hardly available to help with questions, all of us reps are very frustrated and stressed due to this and reconsider working for this company. Systems are such a hassle and always slow, or messed up so our call handle is always terrible because we don’t have properly working systems to help us. Manager is always “busy” to have meetings with team Can’t even take a 2/3 min bathroom break without manager asking “can you get back on the phone?” Manager is terrible at communication with her entire team! You can email 2-3 times but won’t ever get a response because she’s “busy” Don’t feel cared for or valued as an employee, you’re just another number to help out with busy calls that they don’t have enough employees to help.
