Pros

Good pay, good benefits, no nights or weekends, lots of telecommute positions.

Cons

Productivity and metrics are very closely measured, even down to each key stroke. I find the workload to be more demanding in a telecommute role than an office role.

Pros

Autonomy you make your own hours. No 9-5 hours. You can work from home after rounding.

Cons

Base pay is $100,000. That does not include data entry, coding, having to take your own vitals, meetings: families and organization and having to kiss butt to nursing home staff. They want you to put all the enrolled patients on hospice and high pressure to not send patients out to the hospital even when they are deathly ill. Please don't not ask for less than 115,000-120,000. Between driving all over town and data entry; labs, vitals and coding of 70-100 half dead, patients you will wish you took my advice. Ps there benefits suck.

Pros

They offer a lot of flexibility in scheduling your workday. No one bats an eye if you leave for awhile to pick up your kid from school or run to a doctor's appointment. Generous amounts of PTO.

Cons

Salary inequity. Social workers with master's degrees and 10, 15, 20 years experience are being paid significantly less money to do the exact same job as nurses with a fraction of the education and experience. Men are paid more than women. Supervisors and management have, for the most part, all been promoted to their level of incompetence.
