Pros

I've been at this company 7 or the last 12 years, including the last 4. The environment is hard working and fast paced, and unusual related to other companies I've been with, everyone puts that effort in. Senior staff is smart, responsive, and adaptive. It's a technology company, so there's continual change, always something to learn, . It's also growing, and there's promotion opportunity abound. The staff is friendly, not clicky, everyone gets along. There's no need for team building or "forced fun" around Unitrends, it's just a fun place to be. This company is my family.

Cons

Being a growing company, change is continual. If you are looking for a job at a company to stay in the same position in year after year, or even for decades,or are not interested in pushing yourself or being promoted, or taking on new challenges over time, this may not be your fit.

Pros

Unitrends has a casual, but professional and team-oriented work environment. We all work together to make the company succeed and they offer great benefits and perks in return. Often times we will have catered meals brought in and have regular happy hour with coworkers. Unitrends also promotes hiring from within which gives employees the opportunity to advance their careers.

Cons

Unitrends offers a 401k program, but only matches up to $2k. It would be nice if they matched a percentage of your contribution.

Pros

Very different company (mainly in leadership) than in 2015/early 2016 with a flat org structure where anyone's (great) ideas can help influence high level decisions. If you work hard and take initiative, it WILL get noticed- promotions can happen when you make them happen, not with a standardized formal review every 1-2 years. The team environment is amazing- there's a tremendous sense of ownership across the company, which makes people want to work hard, not dissimilar to a startup.

Cons

The stress level can be high at times.
