Started with UBH when it was run by another company. Starting wage was excellent. Have seen things go down hill since UHS started managing

Cons

Disorganized facility. Extremely poor orientation. Always short staffed, and UHS just keeps streamlining and cutting staff wherever they can. High turnover rate. Employees in positions that they are not qualified for.

Cross-trained in many Cerner applications which allows you to be more rounded to understand how the various applications/systems interface the same data. Great place to start your HIT career as a new grad.

Cons

Pay is not competitive to the market, or at least not for those who have been employed here for a few years. Work from home is not allowed though exceptions are made for some to work and live remotely. If you need to work from home, you take 4hrs of PTO to work an 8hr day from home. Inclement weather policy -- as long as the parking lots are clear, we are open and to be in the office.
