Pros

Benefits, Trust, Autonomy, Holiday schedule, Friendly coworkers

Cons

Pay is awful for the area and not improving despite record profits for the company and increasing cost of living - great if you want to rent forever, save little and put your life on hold while giving your energy to a company that will pay the bare minimum it can get away with. Strings low-level employees along for years. False promises of impending opportunities and advancement - manipulative techniques from management.

Pros

They pay overtime and provide under ground parking. They have a gift week off during the chirstmas and new years holidays.

Cons

The managers are mean, talk behind your back, immature, unapreciative, collude with each other. They pretend they are listening to you but they will stab you in the back. They will protect their directors at all costs.

Pros

Probably the best reason to work for the Universal Music Group would be the heralth benefits of such a large corporation.

Cons

There are too many negatives to list but I can start with Poor Upper Management (i.e. lack of qualified leadership and direction), the lack of HR presence alone is detrimental to the health of the work environment. UMG has gone from being a leader in the music industry to being a slow, monolithic, outdated, inexperienced, financially strapped, poorly managed dinosaur that will eventually have to break down in size in order to keep up with the technological advances and entreprenurial ideologies that will help this industry survive in changing times.
