Work in the A&R Adminstration Department

Pros

Great opportunity to learn about the industry. You see contracts, work with A&Rs, and interact with lawyers, accountants, and music managers.

Cons

Since the company has become more corporate, the environment isn't very vibrant nor creative. It is unlike music companies of the past. If you are looking for a fun, creative environment, and not one that is less administrative, then this might not be the place for you.

Good people; Bad management

Pros

The people who work there are passionate and want the company to succeed. Good benefits; Flexible with time off depending on what department you work for.

Cons

People in management do not get direction from the top, or should not be in management. It's a 3 ring circus and everyone is very unhappy. Bad morale. No real career advancement, overworked and underpaid.
