Pros

genuinely love working at Upper Crust Food Service. It's been an exciting, high-growth environment where my career has absolutely skyrocketed. I’ve had the opportunity to take on meaningful work, grow quickly, and be surrounded by incredibly supportive leaders. One of the best parts of the job is working alongside our Chefs and culinary management team — they are passionate, hardworking, and make the experience collaborative and fun. The culture here is fast-paced but people-first, and that makes a huge difference. I feel challenged in all the right ways and appreciated every step of the way. If you're looking for a company that invests in your growth and values strong team dynamics, UCFS is the place to be.

Cons

The pace can be fast and sometimes chaotic — if you like a slow, quiet workday, this might not be your vibe. You will learn all your coworkers' favorite snacks, whether you want to or not. Overall, UCFS has been an incredible place to grow, and I’m excited for what’s ahead.

Pros

The house and the clients

Cons

Literally everything else. Upper management was absolutely terrible, if they even answered your phone call. I had several questions that were never answered by my “boss” and when I reached out to HR to get help I was reprimanded. Not by my boss directly, (she still refused to call me) but through the campus manager who had to do her dirty work. I worked there for a full school year and had no idea who I worked for. Nobody reached out and if you had a problem you were on your own but every choice you made was the wrong one anyways. They also change policies without letting their employees know and then get upset when the employees don’t adhere to said changed policy. On top of everything they will change your budget or the contract with your house without telling you so all of a sudden you’re over budget and it’s your fault and you have get back under the budget by the end of semester, meaning your clients suffer. Speaking of the clients, the company absolutely does not care about satisfaction of the clients. They do not care if they are unhappy and do nothing to remedy any conflicts.
