Thank you for your feedback. UTA learns a lot from reviews and we look to uncover issues with which we were previously unaware. It helps us better able to respond with steps we are taking to address problems. UTA wants to be an organization that listens and cares.

Pros

Stable company and provides benefits that are on par with other companies in the industry. They offer a pension that matches 10% of you salary. Good long term if you can handle the management games.

Cons

Pay is lower and is unlikely going to change. They use market research based on other transit companies to base pay. They pay under market because they can not find a reason to pay us market value.

You are correct, UTA is a very stable company and offers a great pension, which is rare among employers today. Pay at UTA is based on market surveys we conduct not only locally, but nationwide. We compare our pay not only to other transit organizations, but to other employers as well. We annually survey the market to ensure we are competitive.
