Pros

Culture, collaboration, cohesive teams, CE/PTO allowances, open concept plan works surprisingly well, communication with MD is A++.

Cons

It's ER. It's hard. Managing a 24/7 veterinary hospital can be rough, but with a supportive local leadership (like here), it's manageable (that, and setting healthy/reasonable boundaries). There is staff burnout, long days/nights. This isn't VEG related, in fact VEG acknowledges it and addresses it the best. Regional support, local support is strong.

Pros

Great idea of what culture and working in the vet field should be. I truly believe they will change the way hospitals in the future operate.

Cons

They’ve grown too large to make sure all hospitals are following the “VEG Culture” . I’ve heard management is a problem but personally I think this is above hospital management and goes more towards regional and above.

Pros

VEG hires hard-working, compassionate people who want to learn, grow, lead, and improve the company even more

Cons

The workload is pretty intense, and a lot of the company's functions still run like a startup. There isn't as much work/life balance for corporate roles (the hospital employees get 4 days off per week; corporate roles are promised unlimited PTO but there's way too much work to get away with taking time off).
