Pros

Management really cares about the employees in the Ventura office.

Cons

It seems employees have to change health coverage frequently. I have coverage from a different company, so I'm not effected.

Not Bad for College Students in the Tech Field

Pros

The position is remote (so you can work from home), you can choose your own hours, and you only have to work 10 hours minimum a week. There is a lot of opportunity to expand your skill set and move around in the company as you see fit.

Cons

The pay isn't much. That would be the only major con. I personally was not disciplined enough to work 10 hours remotely every week, especially when I was struggling with my course load, so the position simply was not for me during that time period.

VSC PT Remote Employee

Pros

Flexible schedule, general flexibility, overall interesting experience. *Higher up* management seems to care lot about VSC. They hire a broad range of PT employees - giving a lot of people good experience. Mostly very trusting of employees, giving people freedom (although sometimes not enough direction).

Cons

Pay. I completely understand why it's minimum wage, but it is still a con. I think that even small raises after certain amounts of time would make a difference in morale. Lack of communication, but mostly low quality communication (on the part of both team leads and other PT employees). Employees often completely lacking direction for projects. Really hard to get things done sometimes, mostly due to communication issues and some of the employees that just aren't reliable.
