      Chaos and Layoffs

      Pros

      It's fun to work in the aerospace industry

      Cons

      The company is currently owned by a private equity firm which has led to layoffs and chaos. Not that it was perfect before. The best thing that could happen is that it gets sold to a solid aerospace company I often head into the office to work remote again. No need for the hybrid approach. Most of the roles should be fully remote.

      Great people and mission, poor leadership, degrading culture.

      Pros

      There are still great people at Maxar, and the mission and technology are interesting and exciting. Benefits are outstanding.

      Cons

      The culture has shifted significantly (for the worse) over the last 3 years. Maxar refuses to both acknowledge and remove poor leadership. Your experience will vary drastically depending on your reporting chain.
