Pros

The time off was great. At one point, a person could work their way up. I doubt that is the case now. Maybe Bill will be able to lead the company, but I seriously doubt that Brands will allow that.

Cons

Most managers had room to operate although the management group in there now is a bunch that micro manages to the hilt. There was a very few women in upper management. I was told this is a cheerleading company every day that I worked there. I can promise you that there are a lot of very capable women at Varsity. Jeff Webb, Kris Shephard, and Greg Webb have left the company. In my opinion, they were the heart and soul of the company.

Pros

The ability to travel and network doing a job you love is priceless. Working for the company who made cheer leading as big as it is today is amazing. You really have an amazing opportunity to see customers happy and make dreams come true.

Cons

Politics and drama are prevalent in this company. Some of the most caring people work so hard for this brand and have been let go or will never move up. To get far in this company its not how hard you work or how happy you make your customer its where you came from and what you look like. For a company that does so many great things its amazing what really goes on behind the scenes at every level.

Pros

It is a great company to work for! Very friendly people and a fun culture to be a part of.

Cons

They don't pay for sales reps travel expenses. They encourage you to always be on the road prospecting, but some have a 4 hour territory, yet they don't pay mileage or anything. I spent over $7k due to driving expanses in one year. They say you can claim it on your taxes, but in the state I lived in you couldn't at the state level.
