Pros

A large team with resources.

Cons

Company model is to work lean , absorb other companies, and to eliminate as many acquired people to stay super lean. You’re kept if you work absurd hours and weekends. The hype/ HR spin does not match the reality of who is kept and the actions done. Expect to be let go. They are used to it and do it over and over - don’t imagine they care - they don’t. They play a short game of making money- it’s really not about the customer and a better product but what gets a customer to click that contact button…so they can track you….for a purchase.

Thank you for submitting your review. We carefully consider all reviews to see where we can improve and continue to make Vector Solutions a great place to work. Vector has experienced tremendous growth both organically and through acquisitions over the last several years, and along with this growth comes change as we continue to put into place an organizational structure that best meets the needs of our customers and our teammates. While we are a sales-driven business, we are very proud of our mission to help organizations and everyday heroes make better, safer, and smarter decisions. We’ve also made strides in creating a more diverse and equitable working environment for our team members through the creation of our Employee Resource Groups and regular employee surveys to seek input from all employees. Our revised and improved 2023 benefits package is a direct result of the feedback our leadership team has received across the company.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We carefully consider all reviews to see how we can improve. Like you, we are proud of our amazing team members whose passion and dedication continue to make Vector a great place to work. We are acutely aware of how our recent growth has affected existing team members and can reassure that our Talent Acquisition team is hard at work recruiting top talent to fill open positions so that we are better prepared to do the work of serving our everyday heroes. Thank you for your contributions to our team and customers.

Pros

The people. Flexibility to work from home during COVID. The culture.

Cons

Growing pains. Acquisitions means more products or people to support and no additional support staff. Favoritism. When over time hours in a quarter are greater than all the PTO/holidays in a year. Really don't count PTO as a benefit at this point. Managers that have no business being managers. VPs making fun of employees in meetings.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We carefully consider all reviews to see where we can improve and continue to make Vector Solutions a great place to work. Our team members are our greatest assets. That’s why we pride ourselves on nurturing a company culture that supports and engages our employees, whether that’s through potlucks and events in the office or through flexible work arrangements and surprise swag care packages during a pandemic. We are glad to hear that you are staying connected to your teammates and our company as we continue our remote working environment. As you know, Vector took steps at the end of 2020 to adjust our PTO policy, increasing the amount of carryover PTO as well as extending the timeframe to use those carryover hours. Additionally, we announced that we would use employee feedback to consider and implement a revised PTO policy in 2021 that we believe will support overall employee wellness and provide a more well-rounded work-life balance. We look forward to sharing that with the company in the coming weeks. It is true that Vector has experienced tremendous growth within a short time-span, nearly doubling our company size and significantly expanding our product and solution offerings. While the pandemic forced us to temporarily slow our hiring plans, we now have new team members joining nearly every week and are actively recruiting top talent across many departments. If there are any specific concerns you would like to discuss with HR, please reach out to HR@vectorsolutions.com and a member of the HR team will respond to your request.
