      Pros

      •   Clear corporate branding  •   Some supportive team members and training resources are readily available.

      Cons

      •   Long-term employees are often excluded from key decisions after property acquisitions, which affects morale and continuity.    •   Limited diversity in hiring practices, especially regarding age and gender; office teams lack balance and representation.    •   Internal promotion is stated as a value but is not consistently practiced — external hires with less directly relevant experience are sometimes favored.    •   Occasional unprofessional behavior in the workplace goes unaddressed by management.

      Pros

      The idea of providing customer service was a high priority. RM, VP’s, Corporate Staff and CM’s were very professional and friendly and supportive until within a year they all left or were let go.

      Cons

      Regional Managers non supportive more dictates. Company surveys are forced to be taken. Very demanding on your time leaving you little room to accomplish your goal. Restructuring of positions, which is causing elimination of them to AI.

      Pros

      Venterra was great at creating a great customer experience with residents. They held a lot of events for the on-site teams including annual family fun days, yearly award ceremonies, etc. Great team atmosphere in the office- I met some great friends who I continue to be friends with to this day.

      Cons

      Salary was outdated and seems like it continues to be and is not up to industry standard. After leaving, I realized how much they preached promoting from within. This is far from true-- the only promotions I ever saw were lower levels (leasing to ACM, ACM to CM) but nothing beyond that. Tenured employees who work hard for the company get overlooked by someone from outside of the organization for positions they are more than capable of doing. Senior leadership does not take accountability and when it comes down to it, they do not value their hard working tenured managers.

Most of our current regional and corporate team members have been promoted into their roles, but there are still times when we rely on external talent to introduce a unique perspective or set of skills to the organization. And, although regional benchmarking reports continue to guide the way in terms of adjusting pay offerings, it’s critical that our team members are comfortable having a conversation on this topic at any time to ensure compensation is well-aligned with their specific skills and qualifications.
