Pros

Open to a better way of doing things. Room for advancement if you are a consistent performer, Quarterly review process so information is relevant and of assistance. Candid feedback both welcomed and appreciated. Transparent leadership at every level. Amazing culture! We make time to have fun and celebrate both our residents and our employees.

Cons

We are not a 9 to 5 company. That can be perceived as a down side if you are a clock watcher or a nickel and dime type person. Have a limited set of vendors we utilize which can lead to slower turnaround.

Maintenance manager is in control. "In touch" upper management.

Cons

Need longer leave time for bereavement.

The loss of a family member is always a difficult time in anyone’s life and we absolutely understand the importance of having enough time away from work to work through the loss. While employees’ earned vacation time can be used in conjunction with these allocated days, we know that every circumstance can differ, so we encourage employees to discuss specific situations with their managers one-on-one. Doing so allows us to work towards a an appropriate solution for all involved upfront. That said, we’re continually looking to provide the best experience possible for the individuals on our teams, so will definitely take your suggestion into account as we review our policies moving forward. Pros

I have worked for several companies within this industry, and I can honestly say that Venterra is hands down the best. They keep you informed, which is rare, and the opportunities to advance are there. I also agree with the other reviews... you will not thrive unless you are willing to give it everything you've got. What this means though, it in most cases, you are working alongside others who are willing to go the extra mile with you. The added perks that Venterra offers more than make up for the extra work. I was able to take my family on vacation to Disney for the 1st time, all because of Venterra's generosity.

Cons

Honestly, there just aren't many. Pay could always be more, but the added bonuses and perks certainly help.
