      Pros

      Everything is a pro! The culture, environment, upper management and incentives are amazing. Corporate really stays involved. There's unlimited income potential even as a leasing agent. Lots of room for growth and they promote from within. Training is A+ too.

      Cons

      Working on Sundays are a downside but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to take with an awesome company.

While hours can vary from location to location, our decision to have most of our communities open with shortened hours on Sunday was definitely one that was made to strike a balance between employee experience and customer experience.       Awesome place to work; Great Work/Life Balance

      Pros

      One of the greatest things about working for Venterra is the emphasis that the company puts towards its' employees' work-life balance. While things can certainly get hectic and deadlines need to be met, the company is understanding of the need for employees to set aside personal time. The recent addition of allowing employees to take a day off for their birthday is a also a nice little perk. The corporate office tends to be a smaller group of employees, but all are great to work with and helpful when needed.

      Cons

      Company has continued to improve during my time here. No major complaints worth noting. Benefits were a bit below average, but are slowly making progress.

By finding individuals who are capable and excited about meeting our high standards we're more able to take the hands-off approach to management that you mention. Having great people on our teams is also all the more reason to make sure we're doing all we can to give them an amazing experience. We've loved being able to continually work to improve the employee experience through initiatives like our WOW-EE program, Better Living, Friday Fun Days, our improved Education Assistance Program, and offering employee birthdays off.       Pros

      I love working for a company that I feel cares about be as an employee and as a person. Venterra does a great job of promoting from within, which I have been able to benefit from over the years. I love when new initiatives are released, but also when improvements are made to already-existing initiatives. This proves that Venterra is constantly trying to improve, which is important to me. I also love when I am given the opportunity to explore new programs or ways of doing things that are not traditionally done in the apartment industry. These trials, tests and pilots are a lot of fun, and I appreciate being given the opportunity to participate or even lead sometimes.

      Cons

      Venterra is a "growing" company so if you don't like adapting to changes, then this probably isn't a good fit for you. I feel that changes are necessary for growth, and I love the challenges that result, however, this might not appeal to everyone.
