      Pros

      Venterra is a great company that promotes from within. They really are focused on how hard you work, and strive to promote from within. They have a great training program to help prepare you for the next step.

      Cons

      The benefits are great with Venterra. We are open more than any other Property Management Company out there for our customers. Most offices are open 9-7.

It's great to hear that you've seen us living up to our Leader Promise to "invest in your professional development and strive to promote from within." Having this intention in mind is one thing. Seeing it first hand is another! It's also good to know that you enjoy the benefits that we offer as a company. While our communities closing at 7pm on some days is a great benefit to our current and future residents, we understand that it can be a sacrifice for our inside employees who work until this time. It's important for us to strike a good balance with this. If you ever feel that this balance should be looked at within your community please be sure to speak up to your Property Manager.       Breath of fresh air

      Pros

      This is a company that seems to truly care about employee well-being. They have many programs to encourage , being an "active employee". Their customer service focus is great! As a leasing consultant we are the front line of the company so it is nice to know we have the ability to "make things right". They openly ask for your opinion AND give you the feeling that they are actually listening. I love my job and know that with hard work and an open mind I have opportunities to grow with this company! They have a lot of programs that give you opportunists to win/earn money, benefit package is excellent, as well as a discount on rent for any Venterra owned property.

      Cons

      Not many that I have ran into yet. Be prepared to work weekends all the time if you are a leasing consultant. Not a huge issue for myself just an FYI. But even the weekend shifts allow time to actually have a life.

      My Favorite Company So Far

      Pros

      I have been with Venterra for almost 2 years and have loved working for the company. I was new to property management when I started and fell in love with it. I love that we have an opportunity to WOW our residents. Each month, we have an allotted amount of money to do something special for a resident or residents that we see fit that particular month, whether it's someone who had an unfortunate situation come up or that we just wanted to surprise. That has been my favorite part of working for Venterra so far. I feel like an individual that the company cares about, and not just a number, as so many employers look at their employees. I base my life around integrity and would not be able to work for a company who didn't represent strong values and exemplify integrity in their policies. I think we have more than enough opportunities to extend our education and learn from others in the company. Richard, our COO is awesome and actually visits the communities enough so that employees actually get to know him. I think the long interview process shows that they really care about who they hire and about finding the right long term employees. Compensation is fair, although I do wish our raises were higher, but who doesn't want that? Overall, my experience has been very positive and I plan on staying with the company for a long time!

      Cons

      I work in one of the Nashville locations and I do wish there were more properties out here and room to grow with the company in Nashville.

It's great that the same program that makes them happy makes you feel the same way!
