You'll learn how to do the the jobs of 3 people on your own, which is great for building resilience. You'll become an expert in creative problem-solving because no one above will help you. The residents (bless their hearts) are the only ones who keep things interesting and grounded.
Cons
Management by avoidance. Leaders regularly lock themselves in their office to dodge resident concerns. We were encouraged to lie to residents to keep things "calm." Transparency is a luxury, not a value. "Team First" is a joke. It's really "Team Profit First." As long as the numbers look good, management doesn't care how burned out the team is. Core Values = Marketing fluff. "Honesty and Integrity?" I was told to lie. "Candor and Openness?" More like secrets and silos.
