Pros

They maintain decent equipment in comparison to some..

Cons

While the main office is celebrating how wonderful they are with the owner, the drivers need support. You can not get them to answer the phone or return calls. Drivers are considered not to be important. The incentive bonus program is a fraud. Most never get what they earned because they left with less than 12 mos. tenure, You earn a bonus but you have to take it in overpriced merchansise and you can not get it untill you have been there a year.

Pros

nice equipment, decent hometime, Owner that gives the appearance of caring. reasonable miles available if you want them.

Cons

Management is unreacheable when you need them yet when there is an issue the driver is automatically at fault. Managers will not answer the phone or their voice mail. If you have a question you have to go through the DRIVER MANAGER who if you can reach him will refer to the main office. It is a complete circle with no answers.

Pros

Owner, Doug Williams seems decent and sincere. You will hear wonderful things in orientation and probably think you finally found the perfect company. They have safe equipment and keep it maintained. The road maintenance dept is responsive and takes care of you. Never once had a complaint about the maintenance dept. Very unusual in this business. There are some dedicated employees who do what they can to do what is right.

Cons

May take hours to reach your driver manager in Spartensburg S.C. If you leave a voice mail, forget it, you will never get a call. If you do get through and he says he will call you right back, forget it, you will never hear from him. As issues arise and the DM says he will pay you a certain way that is agreeable, you have a 50% chance of getting it. DM will cover himself and leave you hanging out to dry. Recruiting is fraudulent. They will advertise a dedicated run, 100% drop and hook, with guaranteed weekly income. After you quit your job for them and you get to orientation they will tell you "sorry we had to fill it, but we can put you in general freight", For the life of me I can not figure out how they do their mileage. I lose about $100 aweek. If you ask about it, it is a funny question to them. Certain levels levels of management are so busy telling themselves how wonderful they are there is no time left to produce or perhaps they just don't care since all they have to do is bring a new batch of drivers every Monday morning. Reported theft of fuel from my tanks while the tractor was secured in a company yard. Couldn't get anyone to answer so I left a voice mail. Never even got a courtesy call back. If management doesn't care why should the driver care?
