Pros

Recently I joined Veracross and went through the onboarding process. Everyone has been very helpful in getting me going with the software and systems. All of my team members are very friendly, talented, smart, and very well-versed in the systems with which we work. A good number of people that I work with have also been with Veracross for a number of years so they have also helped to provide historical background as it is important to know not only where we're going but how things have evolved in the software to overcome challenges. They have also been very understanding of my coming up-to-speed on a language that I haven't touched in a very long time, helping me out with resources and folks at the company with whom to work to help me over the hurdle!

Cons

I don't have any cons to mention right now although I did join recently.

Pros

-You can gain a lot of experience in very little time. - Employees and Managers are very kind.

Cons

- For the amount of work, the pay is low - Very hard to get a real promotion, you will be assigned a lot more work, with a very low pay increase - The software in some instances, is almost unsupportable which leaves people in customer facing roles out to dry. - The work is cyclical and in demanding seasons, it can be very stressful, and mentally taxing. In slow seasons, you will be assigned a plethora of meaningless tasks. -Employees are tasked to create FAQs but there are no meaningful metrics to demonstrate their utility, more & more tickets seem be coming in regardless. FAQS are NOT the problem, the product is bad plan and simple. -Executives seem to value profitability over employee welfare. I get it you want to please the private equity firm but what cost? -No 401k match - Insurance is mediocre

Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback. We conduct a market salary analysis versus other tech companies at least twice each year to ensure we pay competitively, and we have provided regular merit increases every year despite the pandemic. Our benefits (medical, dental and vision) are consistently ranked in the top quartile when compared to other companies. With respect to PTO, we evaluate our benefits annually versus market data to ensure we are aligned with other tech companies of our size and geographic location. Our PTO benefits include 3 weeks of PTO plus 14 paid holidays (including the week between Christmas and New Year’s.) We will continue to evaluate our PTO policies and all our benefit offerings to ensure we remain competitive. We encourage you to speak with your manager or our HR team regarding any of these areas so we can provide you with additional detail regarding your specific situation.
