Pros

I was hired pre-pandemic and there were several good things about the company. Management talked the talk, but after awhile the honeymoon is over and you see they don't walk the walk. There used to be more team building and the overall office remodel was great. Products are top of the class and help save lives, so a good industry to be in.

Cons

Sadly more cons than pros. The clique management team is unbearable. Earl is a dictator and you watch everyone fall inline to please him, its his way or it's out the door you go. He has to be involved in every little detail and that is not a way to grow your team and empower your workforce. Many double standards and no room for growth. To get promoted you need to be buddies with Earl. It's definitely a good ol' boys club, look at the lack of diversity on the management team.

Pros

Wish I could enumerate some examples!

Cons

When we tell people to do their jobs, we get workers, when we trust people to get the job done, we get leaders! So, if you want to be a worker, being disgraced and underappreciated, Verathon is the place to be. You don’t get any room for personal talent development and there is a huge lack of trust – in fact there is no trust at all. Micromanagement is their ultimate controlling management style. It’s demoralizing and counter-intuitive and the desire for control to make sure everything goes to plan only creates more problems within the company. You’ll never end up as a leader in this company, because there is one, so called CEO , who rules and persecutes his workers and assesses performances based on hearings. Furthermore, Management feels that they’re able to breakdown law in Europe and is not capable (or willing) to get an empathetic understanding of the European business. If one executes their job as commanded by the CEO, you might be safe. HR in Amsterdam and the US is the biggest joke ever and very untrustworthy. I’m trying to think about anything nice to say. Oh, yeah about the nice people, but they’ll all have been fired (or left the company) because the CEO didn’t like them, despite the fact they delivered great results (met the targets) and have been overachieving. The office building in Amsterdam is an atrocious catastrophe, in the winter people need to keep themselves warm by wearing extra blankets and mobile gas heaters whilst management is sitting in their offices with controlled heater/air-conditioned facilities.
