Pros

glidescope strong brand bflex focus product ok but unrealistic expectations for growth

Cons

Poor corporate culture and lack of strong or knowledgeable sales leadership. Used to be a great place to work, President and VP of Sales NA has created a culture of unappreciation and lack of value of the sales organization, the operating philosophy is take it or leave it with a passive aggressive overtone. It's an embarrassing the way sales is treated, not trusted and spoken to. There is a reason so many people have resigned to find greener pastures. Verathon was purchased by by Roper Technologies 13 years ago while the senior executive team is focused on driving their 10% EBITDA the reality is the sales org and compensation has decreased year over year, thus about 35-40% turnover of the salespersons. If you are considering a sales role at Verathon, keep looking you can do better.

Healthcare is an ever evolving industry. At Verathon we embrace that evolution and in 2019, we introduced our first ever consumable product with our single-use BFlex. As product portfolios change, often so does the structure of commission plans. However, our average At-Plan targets have not been impacted by the change and still remain in the 75th percentile of comparable medical device companies that we survey against every year. Additionally, our attrition is below the national average for sales at under 18%. Most of the recent departures indicated a desire to remain in a 100% capital equipment portfolio which their new role provided to them. Pros

Verathon has top tier products

Cons

Recently promoted leadership to the Director position has made for a negative environment. There is constant micromanaging and a lack of trust and respect impacting the sales team.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us a review. We are disappointed you feel the promoted leadership isn’t upholding a positive company culture. The Verathon culture is very important to our leadership team and our VP, Travis Bonner would like to speak with you confidentially on this matter. Please either reach out to him directly to set up a time to connect or email us at humanresources@verathon.com and we can set up the meeting for you. Thank you again for taking the time to provide feedback and we look forward to resolving this situation.

Pros

It's a job out of the weather.

Cons

Perpetually understaffed, toxic work environment (both literally and figuratively), where you will be worked to death for sub-par pay and benefits.
