Pros

Good benefits, quick "time-off" accrual, co-workers are usually great. The company is great if you dont work the retail side of it. Verizon has a strong infrastructure with FiOS and other home internet products. But the wireless side is a sinking ship.

Cons

Understaffed, Constant changes with products and services that managers force you to sell to customers, (even if they are not interested). You are not just "sales".., 80% of the time its customer service because of Verizon's outsourced and untrained, customer service from overseas... The system we use is getting worse by the day. The disconnect between corporate and the retail stores will be the downfall of VZW retail.

easy work if you know the technology / industry

Cons

dont expect leadership to listen to voiced concerns. Definitely expect union awareness trainings out the back end if that tells you anything about the ever diminishing comp plan.

Pros

Good benefits. A lot of vacation and sick time given as well as personal time. Fairly laid back atmosphere.

Cons

Quotas continue to increase even while traffic falls and Verizon hemorrhages customers. Vacation time is hard to use at retail location due to the short staffing of store locations. CEO was a failure at previous job and is ruining Verizon in the same manner. Cut costs at all expense. Network and customer support has severely suffered because of this.
