Pros

Verizon Business used to be great to work for as an account manager. Pay was great. Commission was great. Then they changed.

Cons

Constantly adding more sales requirements while decreasing payouts, stopping paying on upgrades (which you still need to do but now with no pay). The systems are rediculously bad. Transactions which should be simple and quick can take rediculous amounts of time (30 minutes to over an hour) due to slow systems & system errors.insufficient sales support which can take days to put through an order. I have had some great managers. But I've also had the worst Ive ever had....and those horrible managers somehow get promoted. Significant employee dissatification to the point that they know it is a big problem but still have yet to fully address the issues causing said disatistaction.

Pros

I would say the pay, but after 10 years and having less earning potential than when I started, not much.

Cons

-No communication medium between execs and frontline -Decreasing pay potential YoY -Poor work life balance -Goals that don’t align with pay structure -Low staffing leading to burnout -Team commission which leaves your coworkers partially responsible for your paycheck -No positive reinforcement -Daily negative reinforcement -Attempted intimidation by mid level mgmt -Depreciating benefits -Overly intense union busting techniques

Pros

Lots of Autonomy to do what you think is most important, flexible schedule for the most part, team support, good benefits, lots of opportunities to voice opinions and provide feedback on company, channel, leadership.

Cons

Big company with lots of people falling between the cracks, pay wasn’t great, rotating leadership constantly means constantly having to adjust to different priorities and styles, sometimes felt feedback was falling on deaf ears, lots of expectations and accountability with little authority to make impactful changes, Woke culture can be toxic if you’re not on board, was trying way to hard to hire, promote, highlight individuals and groups not on the content of their character or achievements but more about demographics.
