Amazing product with terrible sales leadership.
Pros
The product truly sells itself as long as reps can get themselves into deals/projects.
Cons
The sales culture takes the fun out of selling such an amazing solution. A lot of luck/timing and large amount of success is based on your territory and existing accounts. When I joined Verkada, a lot of metrics were based on new revenue. Territories are saturated and account distribution has become political. The opportunity for growth is limited with a lot of external leadership that care more about their reputation than the actual work. The ramp is extremely fast and it takes more than 2 years to build a territory to scratch. Fully ramped quotas are not sustainable unless you have a mature customers that's already standardized on Verkada. Verkada is an expensive solution where 60-70% of the market don't overspend on security. If you're stuck in a corporate territory with limited healthcare and manufacturing customers, good luck.
