Pros

Good place to get some initial experience and to get some experience across several areas. When not being over managed, the work is actually not too bad.

Cons

Expect to be paid significantly below standard market rates. CEO directly manages all aspects of business himself and demonstrates a generally hostile attitude towards employees. Daily meetings with the CEO. Very minimal internal documentation and what is available is outdated. No clear version control. No version change-log. No code style guide. No communicated design scope. The general attitude of the the employees could be called disaffected.

Pros

Everyone works well together and helps each other out, for the most part. If you can get noticed you can be rewarded for hard work.

Cons

Getting noticed can prove difficult, non-client facing positions are often made to interact with clients. What the customer says goes, there is little actual project management, scopes are never established, scope creep is the name of the game, and information comes on a need to know basis, often invalidating previous assumptions and efforts necessitating a complete rewrite of a function.
