Pros

The new leadership under PE is not afraid to make the decisions that Emerson failed to make. Fixing the businesses that need fixed, investing and innovating, and looking for great talent. I am in a 100 percent customer facing role, and the leadership is fully committed to serving our customers and understanding their needs.

Cons

As with any change comes a bit of uncertainty, this business is retooling, and that will force tough decisions in many areas - but it needs addressed.

Global company Not too challenging New management will hopefully turn around

Cons

Lack of diversity (almost all white men over 40) Penny wise and pound foolish - so driven to meet quarterly earnings targets that they repeatedly cut any longer term investments, creating a vicious cycle of little growth. Very inward focused instead of customer focus Poor performance development program - "annual" reviews are conducted months behind schedule or not at all; no clear career paths Many employees are lifers who just want to keep their heads down and not change Innovation stifled by too much red tape
