Pros

Above Minimum Wage Health Benefits Santa Monica is a decent location

Cons

You are a cog in a machine You have to commit your life to it in order to move up No control over schedule- Very inflexible = Difficult Work Life Balance, you are at their mercy Pay isn't high enough to warrant the ridiculously high standards management holds you to Items were constantly out of stock or misplaced Everyone there is miserable Often times there is no parking due to events at the hotel so you have to park offsite and wait to get reimbursed Food is overpriced and not very good, even with the 50% discount they give you Poor design of hotel means service can be inefficient. For example having the kitchen on a different floor from the main dining area.

Pros

The company culture and people were great.

Cons

A lot of layoffs at the corporate office starting around 2008, company was trimmed down to an skeleton crew that had to work lots of hours to make up for the laid off employees. If you are considering a job at their Corporate office in Los Angeles, beware since the company hasn't grown much in the past 5-6 years. They tend to lose hotel management deals when hotels in their portfolio get sold to other investors.
